Bryce Adair Obituary, Death – CBS Production Assistant Died Days After Crash While Covering Memorial Tournament

The broadcasting community is mourning the loss of Bryce Adair, a 31-year-old CBS Sports production assistant from Augusta, Georgia, who died on June 6, 2026, after sustaining critical injuries in a single-vehicle crash while working in central Ohio during coverage of the Memorial Tournament.

According to information released by the Dublin Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. on June 3 along Woerner Temple Road near Parkwood Place. Investigators reported that Adair was operating a Toyota Sequoia westbound when the vehicle continued through a right-hand curve, crossed the median into the eastbound lanes, left the roadway, and struck a tree and utility pole.

Emergency personnel responded after a 911 caller reported a severely damaged SUV. Firefighters from the Washington Township Fire Department worked to extricate Adair from the wreckage before he was transported to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital for emergency medical treatment.

Despite the efforts of medical teams, Adair succumbed to his injuries on June 6, three days after the crash.

Authorities have stated that the cause of the collision remains under investigation. Preliminary findings indicate that alcohol and drugs are not believed to have been contributing factors, and investigators have not publicly identified what caused the vehicle to leave the roadway.

At the time of the incident, Adair was in Ohio as part of the CBS Sports production crew covering the Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club. His death has had a profound impact on colleagues throughout the broadcasting industry.

During CBS’s June 6 tournament broadcast, veteran sportscaster Jim Nantz paid tribute to Adair, describing him as an exceptionally talented and valued member of the production team. Colleagues remembered him for his professionalism, positive attitude, and dedication to his work behind the scenes.

Adair joined CBS Sports in 2017 and contributed to coverage of numerous major sporting events throughout his career. He was also part of an Emmy Award-winning production team recognized for its work on Super Bowl coverage.

In the days following the accident, friends and coworkers organized fundraising efforts to support his family. The response reflected the respect and admiration Adair earned throughout the broadcasting community, with supporters from across the country expressing condolences and sharing memories of his impact both professionally and personally.

Family members have announced that visitation services will be held on June 12 at Tabernacle Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, followed by a funeral service at the same location.

Bryce Adair is remembered as a talented television professional, devoted colleague, and cherished friend whose contributions extended far beyond the broadcast booth. His passing leaves a significant void among coworkers, family members, and friends who continue to celebrate his life, achievements, and legacy.
