NESHANNOCK TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Lawrence County community is mourning the loss of Bryan Scheidemantle, 60, who died following a motorcycle collision Wednesday afternoon in Neshannock Township.

According to the Neshannock Township Police Department, the crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. on Wilmington Road near Mama Jane’s Eatery. Authorities said the collision involved two vehicles, including a motorcycle operated by Scheidemantle.

Emergency personnel responded quickly to reports of the serious accident and found Scheidemantle suffering from severe injuries. First responders immediately began providing emergency medical care at the scene while arrangements were made for advanced treatment.

Officials reported that Scheidemantle was transported by ambulance to a designated landing zone where a medical helicopter had been scheduled to transport him to a higher-level medical facility. However, due to the extent of his injuries, he was unable to be airlifted. He was subsequently transported by ambulance to UPMC Jameson Hospital in New Castle.

Despite the efforts of emergency responders and hospital staff, Scheidemantle later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.

Police stated that the driver and passenger of the second vehicle involved in the collision were not injured. Their identities have not been released, and investigators have not yet announced any contributing factors related to the crash.

The Pennsylvania State Police assisted Neshannock Township officers at the scene and continue to support the ongoing investigation. Authorities are reviewing evidence, examining vehicle movements, and working to determine the sequence of events that led to the collision.
