Investigators reported that a southbound 2014 Chevrolet Impala driven by Kaden Meek crossed the center line for reasons that remain under investigation before colliding head-on with a northbound 2019 Ford Fusion driven by Braden Doersam.

Emergency personnel from multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office, Crawford County Rescue, Flat Rock Area Fire Protection District, the Illinois Department of Transportation, and the Illinois State Police.
