ANDERSON, S.C. — Family, friends, and members of the Anderson community are mourning the tragic loss of 18-year-old Jameek Suber, who was killed in a shooting early Saturday morning along Tribble Street near Bleckley Street.

According to the Anderson City Police Department and the Anderson County Coroner’s Office, officers responded to reports of a person shot in the area in the early hours of Saturday. When they arrived, they found a young male lying on a sidewalk in front of a residence with apparent gunshot wounds.

Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene, but the victim was later pronounced dead despite their efforts.

The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Jameek Suber, 18, of Anderson, South Carolina, confirming that he died from multiple gunshot wounds. His death has been ruled a homicide.
