PAROWAN, Utah — The Parowan community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 12-year-old Dusty Rose Dalley, who died following a tragic off-highway vehicle (OHV) rollover and fire Friday evening in Iron County.

According to Iron County Sheriff Ken Carpenter, the crash occurred at approximately 6:49 p.m. north of the Iron County Fairgrounds. Authorities reported that two girls were riding in a side-by-side OHV when the vehicle overturned during a turn. Following the rollover, the vehicle caught fire.

Investigators said Dusty Rose Dalley became trapped inside the vehicle and was unable to escape. Despite emergency response efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A second occupant, identified as 13-year-old Bekah Hale, was rescued from the burning vehicle and transported to a local hospital with severe burn injuries. She was later transferred to a specialized burn center in Salt Lake City, where she continues to receive treatment.

The tragedy has sent shockwaves throughout Parowan and neighboring communities, where Dusty is being remembered as a bright, caring, and energetic young girl who touched the lives of many.
